Better buses for Adur & Worthing
The current network leaves parts of Adur poorly served — long
waits, awkward interchanges, and gaps between the coastal
corridor and the neighbourhoods inland.
The Proposals tab sketches a network where a
handful of simple changes — re-routings, new links, better night
coverage — would have an outsized impact on day-to-day life
across Adur. The map shows every existing service as a coloured
line; toggle routes below to compare coverage, or open Proposals
to see the targeted additions.
This site is open source. It's built and shared on
GitHub — the platform
that hosts the code and collects community proposals. You don't need
an account to contribute: hit Submit in the editor and
your proposal is posted to the public issue tracker for the maintainers
to review, with a link back so you can follow it.
Tip: turning on “Show limited services” reveals
how — on paper — the map looks well covered. But many of those
routes are infrequent, run only at peak times, or don't run at
weekends, so locals can't actually rely on them for everyday
travel.
